The Magi continue on their journey to see Jesus, the long awaited Christ that would save the people of the world. Can you picture that journey? This is undoubtedly the longest awaited Christmas present ever! The Magi knew who they were going to see. Since Genesis 3, the people of God had been anxiously awaiting the birth of the Christ, and now these Magi are on their way to see Him firsthand.
Verse 10 records that the Magi were “overjoyed” when they saw the star that would guide them to Him. Have you ever been overjoyed? This goes way beyond the normal happiness that comes from having a good day. They were “overjoyed” at the thought of seeing the Salvation that comes from God.

- Have you ever been overjoyed thinking about Jesus? Would you like to?

Suggested Prayer: Pray for family members that you may “struggle” to get along with. Ask for God to give you wisdom in your relationship with them.
A Special Christmas Memory from Lindy C.
My mom’s family lives in Taylorsville, CA. Every Christmas my mom, us five kids, luggage and presents would pile into our family van and head north. We spent Christmas Eve with our Great Grandparents and Christmas morning with our Grandparents. We usually had a White Christmas. We all looked forward to Grandma’s biscuits and gravy on Christmas morning. Yummy!
