The thought of going to the mall on a Saturday the week before Christmas makes me shutter. I remember being stuck in traffic around the mall just to get out of the parking lot.
Have you had any moments like this as you prepare for Christmas? We may need to get our focus back where it belongs. Look at the example of Anna, the prophetess. She gave thanks to God when she saw Jesus. Simeon, the shepherds, Zechariah, and Mary all praised God for His works in their lives.
Today, let us also find reasons to praise God. Below make a list of your praises to God. I know Thanksgiving was only a few weeks ago, but most of us simply do not do this enough. Praise and give thanks to the One who knows your heart and loves you more than you can ever know.

Last Christmas, my family and I made sugar cookies. It was the first time my cousin and baby sister had made sugar cookies. They had so much fun. They asked to come back again to make them with us.

One of my favorite Christmas memories happens every year at about 7:00 when our whole family goes in to Mom and Pops room and we all come in and jump on Papa until he finally wakes up.
