“Paul’s first journey took about one and half years (A.D. 48-49) and involved about 1,250 miles of travel. In this journey, Paul and Barnabas widened the open door for including the Gentiles in the Christian church. Thus, Paul’s first missionary journey continued the work already begun by Peter’s first opening of the door to Gentile faith at the home of Cornelius (Acts 10).”

Who was instrumental in your life in helping you to meet and/or follow Jesus?

My Mother, Elizabeth, laid the groundwork for a life of faith, but the person who really set me on the path of a daily walk was Inadelle Nelson. 
I began Spirit Salon on the Fall of 1974, new to town and pretty green in the steady pursuit of Jesus. 
 
Through Bible study, discussions with her and the others on the path, plus regular prayer, I learned the value of a daily walk with the Master. She led me into leadership, and I always referred back to her methods, and Spirit Salon still uses them today.
 
We had a short celebration of her life and love for us on Wednesday, May 26th, as it will be 25 years since she stepped into Heaven and met Jesus face to face!
